PRODUCT DESCRIPTION :
The new Aerlex series is a tough reel fitted with Instant Drag designed for heavy duty work. The cosmetic design and the superb Aero Wrap II line lay with 2-speed oscillation, combined with the AR-C spool produces excellent casting performance required by both carp and surf anglers. High torque of 4.6:1 retrieve ratio gives the Aerlex the power to deal with heavy loads over rough ground.
PRODUCT TECHNOLOGIES
AR-C SPOOL
Through tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations, it has been determined that AR-C spool lip design produces longer casting distances than a standard lip spool, while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming. It also allows the line to flow off the spool in smaller loops during the cast, which means less slap on the strip per guide. This results in longer casts with less friction.
AERO WRAP II
Aerowrap II is a worm gear oscillation system with a specially designed pitch to create optimal oscillation speeds for the AR-C lip design. It provides uniform line lay and winding shape to prevent loss of energy during a cast, while providing longer casts than other oscillation systems.
2-SPEED OSCILLATION
An advanced way of lying line onto the spool during the retrieve. As the rotor turns, the spool moves forward quickly and then returns slowly. This prevents the coils of line on the spool from bedding in with each other and improves casting performance.
INSTANT DRAG
The thickness of walls of the MGL Spool III is minimized without compromising the spool’s durability, resulting in a successful reduction in moment of inertia. The moment of inertia of the new spool has been successfully reduced by 15% compared to its predecessor (2nd gen MGL spool).
POWER ROLLER
Line twist arising from repeated casting and retrieving is reduced by as much as 50% on reels equipped with the Power Roller line twist reduction system. Power Roller’s special grovved design assures the line will be wrapped on the spool to minimize unwanted loops and twists during a cast.
SUPER STOPPER II
Uses a one-way roller bearing that eliminates backplay. Provides anglers with instant hooking power.

Shimano warrants to the original purchase that this rod/reel will be free from non-conformities in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year for reels and two (2) years for rods. This warranty is effective from the date of purchase to the original purchaser only.
Rods and Reels Limited Warranty During this period, Shimano will perform non breakage/repairs or effective replacement of rods/reels at Shimano’s option, with no cost to the original purchaser other than the cost of shipping charges incurred to our service facility. It also does not cover claims arising from wear and tear, improper use or neglect. For breakage repairs of rods, a nominal replacement cost will be charged based on the following rod types:

Claim/Repair Procedure To request warranty repairs or non-warranty service, please send your rod or reel to any Shimano Authorized Outlets. Retailers for our products are not required or authorized to perform warranty repairs or exchanges on behalf of Shimano, nor are they authorized to modify this warranty in any way. Shimano reserves the right to void this warranty if the reels/rods have been tampered, modified or subjected to repairs not authorized by Shimano. In the case of warranty repair requests, (within the warranty period), the original copy of dated sales receipt and the original copy of Shimano Warranty Card must accompany any warranty claim. If your Shimano rod/reel should be found to require repairs outside of this warranty coverage (beyond warranty period), Shimano or Shimano Authorized Outlets will perform the repair and send a claim for parts, labour and shipping charges (if applicable). Claim Submission Checklist Please ensure that the following items are present when submitting your rod/reel for a warranty claim.
Shimano reserves the right to reject or void the warranty should any of the above items/requirements not be met. Please note that any tampering or false declarations made in the card will deem the warranty void with immediate effect. |
